Death, not all bad

Death is a concept or word not many, in fact majority will find negative. Attending a funeral recently tells a whole other story.

Yes there are plenty of tears and seeing what the person left behind, it is hard to not find it to be a bad situation, but it is not all bad, for the one that passed anyway. While one leaves behind all the time, thing, family, friends and plan that is his or hers, one also leaves behind all the bad and worries.

Not sure if all mortician or family members prefer to let the dead seem in peace in a coffin, but most bodies laying for the last sights by other seemed… in peace. Seeing them that way makes all earthly wealth and things seemed so… irrelevant. At the end of the day, all they needed was the last clothes they will and are wearing.

For all the things people chase after in life: fame, wealth, stuff, collection, status for some, none are relevant from that point. Maybe to those family and friends they left behind, they will somehow gain a portion of the worth these things are do the deceased, but as no two person are identical, these things will only be “stuff” that will remind them of the deceased.

While alive, we no doubt will come to a point think of the next whim or target and its worth of going through with it. Once obtained, most will definitely relish with it for as long as them can, to make sense of worth all the time and effort they invested. However, whims like all things fade with time and soon replaced by the next, thus forgotten.

So yes, every death is a sad thing, a waste some would say in cases of unnatural deaths. However, there is always a silver lining in all situations even in death. Call it optimism or rationalization or even clinging, but death, not that bad.
